The Private Schools Regulatory Authority (PSRA) has taken legal action against three private schools found operating during the officially declared winter vacation period.According to the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, winter holidays were scheduled from January 1 to January 15, 2026, in summer zones, and from December 22, 2025, to February 28, 2026, in winter zones.
Acting on the directives of PSRA Managing Director Javed Iqbal, an inspection committee comprising Assistant Director Syed Faizan Ali Shah and Assistant Muhammad Roshaan was formed, the authority said in a statement issued Tuesday.
Following complaints received through multiple channels, the committee carried out inspections in Peshawar district. During the visits, they discovered that The Educators School Rahatabad Campus, Ittefaq Model School and College Chamkani, and The Knowledge School Chamkani were conducting classes despite the vacation schedule.
The inspection team confirmed that these institutions had violated the winter vacation notification jointly issued by the Elementary and Secondary Education Department, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and PSRA on December 19, 2025.
